Let's look at what we actually know. What the Numbers Say The group that is most associated with Asalatu is NASFAT, the Nasrul-Lahi-il-Fathi Society of Nigeria. One academic study reports that NASFAT claims more than 300 branches across Nigeria, other African countries, Europe and the USA, with a membership of above 1.2 million. Elsewhere, Wikipedia describes the group as having over one million members in Nigeria. Branch counts differ as well.
